Meet
David Johnson
Author of Miss Alphie's Secret
David
Johnson, Ph.D. is an assistant professor of social
work at Millersville University.
A native of Tennessee, DJ (as
his friends call him) is an
avid reader. He writes non-fiction
in the public policy arena, and
is co-author of a forthcoming
text on social welfare policy to
be released in Fall, 2011.
This
is DJ's debut novel. He wrote the first draft of it while
on spring break during the time
he was writing his
dissertation. When asked by
friends and family members
who had read Miss Alphie's
Secret about the identities of
the characters, DJ responded that
"all of the characters
are, in some way, me."
DJ
is an alumnus of The University of Texas at Austin, and
an
avid Longhorn football fan! (Hook 'em Horns!) He earned
his
Masters of Social Work from The University of Southern
Mississippi
in Hattiesburg.
DJ
is already busy on the sequel to Miss Alphie's Secret, a
novel
set primarily in Paris and the surrounding French
countryside.
The sequel, titled Omega Burning, is scheduled
to
be completed and released in late 2011. Sign up at the

Omega
Burning is published.
DJ
has three younger brothers, five nieces, and four
nephews.
He lives in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch
country
with his loyal companion Dr. Nicodemus,
who
appears
as young Charlie Nutterman's dog—and faithful
sidekick—in
Miss Alphie's Secret.
